Irian Jaya carvings - white, burned ochre and black - images
Just released, our very own range of greeting cards suitable for any occasion where a card is appropriate.
Images are drawn from photos taken on our travels, details of our stock, and flowers from our garden. Beijing, minus 17 degrees celsius, sheep skin gloved hands in pockets to keep warm, sets the scene for the bare branches in the 798 precinct in a former industrial zone of that vibrant city. Our favourite image of Irian Jaya is taken on a misty morning looking across Jayapura Harbour. The very best dressed Kitty is passive and benign, she does no harm to the wildlife for which we are very grateful.
Details of the exquisite needlework in the Miao baby carriers, the complete hand stitched panels can be seen in full on our website. All works of great skill and design, all are museum quality.
The male Ho-oh bird detail is from a Japanese altar table decoration. Despite being mythological he looks alive and active as if he could fly out of this fine tapestry weave.
Aren't these cactus flowers luscious? The cactus in our collection have all flowered; some with crowns, some with clusters or pairs, or with beautiful individual blooms in translucent hues. In our temperate climate we always have flowers to enjoy and you can find them in our cards. Available now for AUD4.50 each at our warehouse or by mail (plus postage).
Designed and printed in Australia.
