Description of goods
We will endeavour to describe the goods that we have available for purchase from our website as accurately as possible. Our goods are mainly antique or vintage and may be made of antique and/or vintage materials, and/or natural materials and as such there may be signs of wear, cracks or blemishes, and there may be some shrinkage in timbers.  Although this is normal and considered the patina of age we will endeavour to include in our description all wear, cracks or blemishes that we are aware of.

The age of the goods will be an estimation only but as accurate as possible. We will endeavour to identify and describe any repairs whether they were carried out by us, or by others prior to our acquisition.

The images that we take of our products are as true to colour as possible but the colour may vary depending on the equipment and the technology being used to view them. With some textile goods, if available, you may request a swatch which can be mailed to you.

Availability
We go out of our way to select distinctive merchandise. Most of our items are unique as are the materials that we use in manufacture. This means that once an item is gone it may not be available again.

At your request we will attempt to secure similar items but with no guarantee of supply.

Prices and payment
Prices
All prices are quoted in Australian dollars (AUD), and items and services sold within Australia  include10% Australian Goods and Services Tax (GST).  If the goods are to be exported from Australia the GST needs to be deducted from the quoted price.

Where a product is pictured ‘in situ” on the website the price quoted includes only the main product described and not any accessories or accompanying items shown, except where otherwise stated.

Payment
Payment can be made through our site by Visa or Mastercard - follow the prompts from the Shopping Cart page.

Some transactions may include bank commissions, fees, and charges associated with the transaction. These will be added to the costs.

Credit card details are not stored by us in any form and are destroyed after the completion of your transaction.  For further purchases you will need to resubmit your credit card details. 

Credit card payments for purchases and shipping costs will not be  processed until we have written acceptance of quotations for packing and freight costs.

If you choose to pay by cheque, bank wire or funds transfer your order will be processed when the payment is cleared.  We do not accept cash on delivery.

Delivery
Goods will not be shipped until fully paid for, and we reserve the right to sell the goods to another party if payment is not received within 7 days of a confirmed order.

All shipping, packing, handling and insurance costs are the responsibility of the purchaser. 

On receipt of your order we will endeavour to obtain the best possible shipping quotations which we will then pass on for your approval.  It is the responsibility of the purchaser to pay for any customs, landing tax, duties or other costs associated with the importation of the goods at their destination.

Refunds and returns

Second hand, antique, reconstituted items and works of art are sold on as is basis and the purchaser should satisfy themselves as to the quality and condition of goods. (See note above re Description of goods.)

If you have simply changed your mind, and you have satisfactory proof of purchase we may offer you a refund or exchange provided that the refund or exchange is sought within a reasonable period of time.

Please keep your receipt as proof of purchase.

We accept no responsibility for goods lost or damaged in transit by your shippers, carriers or their agents.  We recommend purchasers take out relevant insurance to cover any loss. 

 

Consumer data/privacy policy
We respect your privacy and are committed to maintaining the highest level of security with your personal details.  The data that we collect from you is in order to conduct our communication and to facilitate the payment, shipping and delivery of your purchases. 

Credit card details are not stored by us in any form and are destroyed after the completion of your transaction.  For further purchases you will need to resubmit your credit card details. 

With your permission we will add your contact details to our mailing list. Requests to be removed from our mailing list may be made by contacting us.  Your personal details will not be passed on, sold or disseminated to any person, company or organization for marketing or other purposes.
